Bueno
By the time you read this I should be (conditional) oh approximately 8000 miles south amongst some Indians again – makes me wonder if Argentina is my next semi permanent abode after some three years spent on this little Fuerteventura rock.
But will I be allowed to throw a first world dice at their third world game?
Hey, I’ve never considered south America as third world but that’s what many whom live there consider themselves to be ….the indigenous are different again and have a secret special pride which one day I hope to be privy at least in part to. With luck this time my laptop won’t ingest the photographs….
Oh, and for those amongst our number whom maintain that everyone IN THE WORLD speaks English, try it out on some of my new friends from Ecuador. I suspect many of them don’t know Europe exists, however nearer home, I was speaking to a young Brazilian at the football the other day, Eeeeeeeeeennngglllleesh is not even on his school curriculum. He appeared amused that I enquired.
To this end, the trip has been mapped - at least a week is to be spent at a language institute, helping and being helped, a carnival to which I have requested photo accreditation and perhaps a meander over the Andes to Chile.
As you do, for a day or two.
By which time, I should (conditional) be sufficiently far away I may just meet myself coming the other way.
Now that’s conditional probability.
