tercera edad

 Tercera edad is a term used to describe the elderly. Whether its peculiar to Spain requires research on my part, nonetheless I appear to be a member of the not so exclusive Third Age ...(literal translation).

Now pay attention,

The latest trip to hospital was I assumed perhaps an overnight stay,  not 9, yes nine overnight stays! My old pals needles, sharp and ready to cut my not quite virgin flesh, not to mention the cables and tubes entering and leaving my every orifice, like the Bakerloo Line on a crowded Monday. 

But hey ho, I survived, and with a prayer to the man above, a vow never to return, I shall delete the word HOSPITAL from my vocabulary and simply live with the health card Ive been dealt.

Goodness knows what lies in ambush.

This may hurt.

So....out of hospital where dignity goes out of the window, so deal with it!

Although my health problems were worse than some but easier to deal with than some other poor souls whom moaned their message of discomfort around the clock.

No more hospital for me thankyou. The dreaded syntax, this may hurt no longer my enemy.

 

  

April has arrived

Hard to believe but its true, April is here. And you felt abandoned sorry for that, Truth is I have spent a chunk of March in hospital not quite sure why, Initially a hernia repair which I thought would mean a  coiuple of nights but no dear reader I was away for over a week. and a few days I would rather forget. 

Still not out of the woods I have stitches to remove and revisions to endure but I hope this is the last trip. 

So apart from that little adventure in the world of needles and pins life can only get better, 

Surely,   

an age thing

Must be an age thing,  Sitting on the terrace this morning enjoying the sun and considering that I may have at last encountered happiness. Often wondering what it would look like, feel like even taste like? So many questions with only doubts in response.

My concerns are many. Should I be more active? yes but after the fast approaching hernia op is my reasonable excuse. Should I spend less time on computers only achieving RSI, and little else.

On another note, the Oscars seem to be grabbing all the headlines, or the controversy about re-touched Royal family pictures while the war in Ukraine rages on, and the confrontation in the so called Holy Land is, it seems, gathering momentum. 

Seems to me we have got our priorities wrong. .
