From the side lines

Camera and notes on the game, running out of hands and it would seem options.  A football match in the Mirca area of La Palma, where we find the home of S D Tenisca. A humble (or not so humble) third division club playing in group twelve, the Canary Islands.

Unusual isn that they own their ground and have a training facility, comprising a full size astro turf pitch, as well as their natural turf virgen de Las Nieves.

They are one of only two clubs whom own their own ground, the other being Mensajero, whose Silvestre Carillo stadium is to be found at the very top of El Puente, one of the main streets in the islands capital of Santa Cruz.

I have access to both grounds during matchdays owing to colaboration with local radio stations, giving them updates throughout the match...and the odd photo, for local press.

All very small time.

This image from the opening game of the season Mensajero (Red shirt) With Tenisca (white) .
Many people think I am an addict to football, this is not the case. Capturing an image is what I want, and of course Spanish Radio for my continuing education.

Anyway thanks for reading, I will continue to work on my photography and my Spanish...and of course my blog.
